Hand bevelling

The bevelling profession calls on a genuine depth of know-how which can only be acquired through practice.

When they leave the manufacturing process, the movement components are rough and must be hand-worked to ensure a flawless appearance. The beveller is responsible for this operation. Using specific tools such as the chisel or piercer, or small lathe generally driven by a motor, the craftsman has to bring out the part by softening its edges, generally with an angle of 45 degrees, followed by meticulous polishing, during which they must take care not to round the inward and outward corners, the cleanness of which is the sign of manual bevelling.
